Defect
On electric forklifts, the control program in the brake control unit is incorrect. When a low-voltage battery error condition is present, the brake system designed to operate under that condition may fail to activate, preventing the vehicle from decelerating and stopping safely.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the control unit to the corrected specification.
