Defect
On street sweepers, the dust cover protecting the work engine compartment can accumulate soil and debris during sweeping operations. The weight of this accumulation may damage the dust cover mounting points, causing the cover to contact the nearby exhaust pipe. In the worst case, the dust cover may ignite and result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, remove part of the dust cover and install corrected parts—dust cover and fuel piping—appropriate to each vehicle's layout.

状況
清掃車の作業用エンジン室への塵埃の巻き上げを防止するための防塵カバーにおいて、清掃作業中に防塵カバー上に土砂等が堆積し、堆積物の重さで防塵カバー取り付け部分が破損する場合がある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、防塵カバーとその付近に配置されている走行用排気管が接触し、最悪の場合、防塵カバーが発火し火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、防塵カバーの一部を取り除き、車両のレイアウトに応じて、対策品（防塵カバー、燃料配管）を取り付ける。
