Defect
On vehicles equipped with a truck-mounted crane, the clearance between the transmission cross member and the crane mounting bolts along the parking brake cable routing path is insufficient on some units. The parking brake cable contacts the cross member and mounting bolts, and continued use damages the cable's outer sheath, impeding movement of the inner wire. This may cause the parking brake to become inoperative.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the parking brake cable. (1) If the clearance is insufficient, add a stopper to the mounting bolt. (2) If the clearance is critically insufficient, relocate the mounting bolt rearward to secure adequate clearance. If rearward relocation is not possible, reroute the parking brake cable. (3) If contact marks are found on the parking brake cable, replace the cable with a new one.

状況
積載形トラッククレーン搭載車において、駐車ブレーキケーブルの配索経路であるトランスミッションクロスメンバとクレーンの架装ボルトの隙間が少ないものがある。そのため、当該駐車ブレーキケーブルがクロスメンバや架装ボルトと接触し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該駐車ブレーキケーブルの外装が損傷し芯線の動きを妨げ、駐車ブレーキが作動しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該駐車ブレーキケーブルを点検し、 ①当該隙間が少ない場合は、架装ボルトのストッパを追加する。 ②当該隙間が極めて少ない場合は、架装ボルトを後方移設し隙間を確保する。なお、架装ボルトを後方に移設できない場合は、当該駐車ブレーキケーブルの配索を変更する。 ③当該駐車ブレーキケーブルに接触痕のある場合は、当該駐車ブレーキケーブルを新品に交換する。
