Defect
The surface hardness of the vehicle speed sensor rotor inside the transmission is insufficient, causing wear on the rotor end face. This wear allows the flange coupling tightening bolts at the rear of the transmission to loosen. Continued operation may cause the flange coupling to pull free and, in the worst case, separate from the vehicle along with the propeller shaft.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the transmission nameplate and, where applicable, inspect the unit and replace the vehicle speed sensor rotor or the transmission with a corrected part.

状況
変速機内部の車速センサ用ロータの表面硬度が不適切なため、ロータ端面が摩耗し、変速機後端のフランジカップリング締付ボルトが緩むものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、フランジカップリングが抜け出し、プロペラシャフトとともに脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該変速機の銘板を確認し、該当するものは点検をして、車速センサ用ロータまたは変速機を対策品と交換する。
