Defect
The ignition control unit (igniter) installed on vehicles equipped with an electronic fuel injection system may degrade due to ozone (O₃) generated during discharge or the effects of heat. Continued use may cause the igniter to fail, preventing the engine from starting.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the ignition control unit and replace any affected unit with the corrected part.

状況
電子制御燃料噴射装置付車両に装着している点火制御器(イグナイタ)が、放電に伴う オゾン(O3)又は熱の影響で不良になるものがあり、このままの状態で使用を続けると 、当該制御器が作動しなくなり原動機が始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、点火制御器を点検し対象となるものは対策品と交換する。
