Defect
The fastening nuts on the drive shaft flange of the power transmission system were not tightened to the specified torque. Loads generated during forward and reverse operation cause the nuts to loosen, producing play between the flange and bolts. Continued use may cause the bolts to fracture, preventing power transmission and rendering the vehicle inoperable. In the worst case, braking capability is also lost.
Corrective action
Retighten the fastening nuts on all vehicles to the specified torque. Where the measured tightening torque is 3 kgf·m or less, replace the fastening bolts and nuts, then tighten the new nuts to the specified torque.

状況
動力伝達装置のドライブシャフトフランジ部の締結ナット締付けトルクが不足しているため、前後進時の負荷により当該ナットが弛み、フランジとボルトの間にガタが発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、ボルトが折損し、動力を伝達出来なくなり走行不能に至り、且つ制動不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、締結ナットを正規トルクで増し締めする。なお、締付けトルクが3kgf・m以下の場合は、締結ボルト及びナット交換し、ナットを正規トルクで締付ける。
