Defect
The retaining nut for the hydraulic control section inside the steering gear box was improperly machined on some units. Continued use may cause the hydraulic power assist function to degrade. In the worst case, steering control may be lost entirely.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the steering gear box by serial number. Any unit identified as affected will have the gear box replaced with a conforming part.

状況
かじ取り装置において、ステアリングギヤボックス内部の油圧制御部の固定ナットに加 工が不適切なものがあるため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、油圧倍力機能が低下し 、最悪の場合、かじ取り操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ステアリングギヤボックスの製造番号を点検し、該当するものは当該ギヤボッ クスを良品に交換する｡
